I’m Alex (Lichi) Zhang, a Toronto-based illustrator and visual designer. Originally from China, I relocated to Canada in 2016 and have since built my career foundation here. I am a permanent resident currently based in Toronto.
I recently graduated from the Illustration program at Sheridan College, where I developed strong skills in visual storytelling, character illustration, and stylized visual design. My work focuses on creating clear, production-ready visuals that balance aesthetics with structure, readability, and real-world constraints.
I approach projects with a practical, problem-solving mindset and place strong value on workflow, iteration, and feedback. I am comfortable working both independently and within team-based environments, and I have solid experience managing deadlines and maintaining consistency across longer projects.
Alongside academic training, I continue to develop personal and freelance projects to better understand professional pipelines, client expectations, and collaborative production processes. I am highly motivated to grow within a professional working environment and to contribute meaningfully to a studio or team through reliable, thoughtful visual work.
I am currently seeking opportunities where I can apply my skills, continue learning through hands-on experience, and build long-term growth as a visual artist.
